Flower on Memorial Day 2008
Hello! My name is Rae and I am what the photography business would call an Amatuer Photographer. I'd like to think of myself as a Professional Amatuer. I have been doing photography since I was in middle school and I took my first photography class as a sophomore in high school. It was fun learning on a film SLR (Olympus camera that belonged to my Dad, which I hope to acquire again soon.) and learning the process of developing film. My favorite part was the dark room, which really shouldn't surprise anyone who knows me.

I have decided to create a blog in the hopes of rekindling my passion for high quality nature and animal photography, as well as the occasional graveyard/gothic shoot that my sisters and I do quite frequently. I also wanted a place where other photographers can come a share ideas, tips and have a few tutorials along the lines of photo composition, set up, and editing. For my first photo upload, I will share a few of my favorites: (Which dont happen to be recent either.)

Two Worlds Demons - April 2009
This photo is one of the many favorites my sister and I take in the Mt. Olivette graveyard in Salt Lake City. It is our favorite graveyard to take pictures in, and it's a shame we haven't gotten all the photos we want yet. But we are working on it. I have many more photos from a recent shoot that I have to edit and upload and then we will do more photos at different places.
Know of any good places to take photos?
Where are your favorite places?
What kind of photos do you like to shoot?
Also, my grandfather used to do photography, as well as my dad. He has his own blog as well, although he is a definate Professional by business standards: http://philmassey.blogspot.com/ So fly on over to his blog and leave a comment or two! And hey, follow his blog because he is very talented. He's a wonderful photographer who, well, go visit his blog and find out!
